18 U.S.C. § 2257 Exemption Statement
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Statement
All visual content appearing on or generated by Velvet Line is entirely computer-generated. It contains no photographic, filmed, videotaped or otherwise recorded depiction of any actual human being.
Accordingly, the record-keeping requirements of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75 do not apply to this service, as those provisions govern visual depictions of actual human beings engaged in actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct. No such depictions exist here.
Basis for the exemption
- Velvet Line employs no performers, models or actors, and has never done so.
- The service accepts no user-uploaded content of any kind. There are no content contributors whose age or identity would require verification.
- All characters are fictional personas authored by the operator. Their appearance is defined in software; their voices are synthesised; their images are produced by a generative model at the time of request.
- Every character is defined as a fictional adult over the age of 21. This is fixed in the system and cannot be altered by users.
- The generation of content resembling any real, identifiable person is prohibited by our AI Content Policy and is subject to technical controls described there.
Prohibition on depictions of minors
Velvet Line prohibits absolutely any content that depicts or sexualises a minor, whether real or generated. Technical constraints against such output are applied to every generation and cannot be disabled. Any attempt to obtain such content results in immediate and permanent termination of the account and may be referred to the appropriate authorities.
