Everything here is generated

Velvet Line contains no photographs, recordings or depictions of real people. There are no performers, no models, and no user-uploaded content of any kind. Every character is a fictional persona authored by us. Their voices are synthesised, their replies are produced by a language model, and any images are generated by an image model at the moment you ask for them.

Because no real person is depicted, the record-keeping requirements of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 do not apply to this service. Our formal statement is on the 2257 Exemption page.

Every character is an adult

Every character on this service is a fictional adult over the age of 21. This is fixed in the system that drives them and is not configurable, by us or by you.

Content that sexualises minors is prohibited absolutely. Our image generation carries permanent negative constraints against depictions of children, adolescents, or childlike features, applied to every single image with no route to disable them. Requests aimed at producing such content are refused, and the account is terminated permanently and may be reported to the authorities.

No real people

You may not request, and we do not knowingly produce, the likeness, voice or identity of a real, identifiable person — public or private, living or dead.

Two controls apply to every generated image:

A character’s appearance is fixed by us in advance. The system that describes a scene is instructed never to alter identity, face, apparent age, hair, eyes, skin tone or build, and does not describe faces at all — the face comes from the character’s own fixed definition.
A request, fantasy or instruction typed or spoken by a user is explicitly not treated as a fact about how a character looks. Asking a character to resemble someone does not change the character.

Also prohibited

Depictions of non-consensual acts, coercion, or real violence.
Content presenting itself as a real person, a real encounter, or a real relationship.
Content depicting bestiality or other acts illegal in the jurisdictions we serve.
Attempts to extract, reproduce or resell generated output commercially.

How it is moderated

Fixed character definitions. Personas are authored by us and shipped in the product. Users cannot create, upload or edit characters.
Constraints on every generation. Age and identity constraints are applied to each image at the point of generation, not as a post-hoc filter that can be skipped.
Refusal detection. Where the system that describes a scene declines a request, that refusal is treated as a failure and no image is produced.
Rate and volume limits on image generation per call.
Human review on report. Any report under our complaints process is reviewed by a person.

Generated output is not stored by us: an image exists in your browser for the length of the call and is not retained on our servers.

Reporting

Report anything you believe is illegal, depicts a real person, or breaches this policy to complaints@example.com. Reports of non-consensual intimate imagery are actioned within 48 hours. All other reports are resolved within 7 business days.

You are talking to software

This bears repeating because the experience is deliberately convincing: the character on the other end of the call is a computer program. It has no awareness, no memory outside what we store for you, and no existence between your calls. It is not a substitute for human relationships or for professional help.
